Enquiring

How do I enquire about availability?

Just drop us a note using the contact form . One of the great things about our approach is that we’re not tied down by dates like traditional videography options.

What are the next steps once I’ve enquired?

We’ll follow up to introduce ourselves and provide you with a bit more information. If you think our approach is a good fit for you and your partner, then we would discuss the next steps and finer details over a call or whatever works best for you. This would be a no-obligation chat so don’t worry, you’re not tied in. It would be an opportunity to explain how it all works, chat around the style of film you’re after and then answer any questions you might have.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

We ask for a £50 deposit and then take the remaining payment after we’ve delivered the films.

Capturing your footage

What do I need to do on the day?

On the day, your guests will simply take short videos using their phones just as they normally would. We’re all pros these days. They just need to bring their phones with them and we’ll take care of the rest.

We’ll send you a personalised ‘cheat sheet’ before the day that you can pass on to your guests. This will give them all the tips and tricks they need to make sure they capture some great footage.

You can then relax, spend less time posing for your videographer's shot list, and spend more time enjoying the day you spent so long planning!

Do my guests need the latest smartphones?

No. High definition cameras have been part of smartphones for more than a decade. The Galaxy S (2010) and iPhone 4s (2011) both introduced cameras capable of capturing HD (1080p) videos.

In fact, the latest smartphones are so advanced they are starting to change the way cinematographers make films. You can read more about it in our blog.

Will the quality be good enough if it’s shot on a smartphone?

Yes. Smartphones have been capable of capturing HD footage for over a decade. If you've got an Iphone 4s (2011) or better then it's capable of 1080p HD filming which is our target output. Anything post the Iphone 6s (2015) can capture video in 4K and some of the latest smartphones are even capable of a mind-boggling 8K.

Does it just have to be phone footage? Can we use GoPros for example?

Absolutely. The more footage the better.

Stand-alone cameras like GoPros are great for setting up, pressing record and letting roll - perfect for the ceremony and speeches.

What if my guests don’t capture any footage?

Snapping clips on our smartphones is now second nature; we’re all pros behind the camera these days. Your guests will simply be doing what they would have done anyway.

But, to make sure your friends and family capture some great footage, we include a personalised cheat sheet as part of all our packages. This is a PDF that you can pass on to your guests that explains the process and provides them with all the tips and tricks they need to get great shots.

If for any reason, it doesn’t quite go to plan on the day (if your guests all somehow lose their phones the night before for example!) then we won’t take payment. We’ll review the footage we receive and only proceed if we can deliver a film that meets our high standards.

How do my guests share their files with you?

We set up a Dropbox for your wedding where your guests can upload their videos and photos after the big day. We’ll provide all the instructions on your personalised cheat sheet which you can share with guests. It’s super simple to do, just follow a link and upload directly from your phone or your computer. You'll have access to the folder as well so you can have a sneak peek at all the clips while we're busy editing.

Your Film

What parts of my wedding day will you cover?

Our full-length highlights film is the story of your day. From getting ready to the last tune on the dancefloor. We’ll cover it all based on the footage we receive.

Will our wedding film look like it’s been shot on a phone?

Yes. There are some brilliant videographers out there that will shoot beautifully cinematic wedding films. Of course, there are some bad ones as well that will also charge you thousands of pounds.

If this is the type of wedding film you want then we’re probably not for you. Our approach delivers a more authentic, natural film for a fraction of the cost. Authenticity means there will be the odd wobble here and there. We’re not expecting your guests to go full-on Spielberg. We want everyone to have a good time and capture a few candid, personal moments just as they normally would.

Of course, when it comes to editing we can use a few tricks to stabilise clips. But generally, we like a little bit of wobble. We’ll also colour correct and grade the film for a consistent style, ensuring the output is as good as it can be.

What about Audio? Will you include things like the speeches?

If this is something you want to include then we can discuss the best way to capture these moments in full, however, the quality is dependent on the audio input from your guests' smartphones or other cameras.

Do we get to pick the music track?

We include fully licensed audio as part of the package and work with couples to get a feel for the type of vibe you’re after. For example, we have couples that want more of a romantic, slow-paced narrative. Others want something more upbeat.

We’re happy to provide a few options before we begin editing as the music will play an integral role in your film's treatment.

Unfortunately, due to copyright licensing we can’t use commercially released music but have an extensive library of great tracks to enhance and support any film.
